Bushwillow Game Farm

Bushwillow is a beautiful set-up with individual self-catering units set in a row, yet spaced far enough apart to be private, with a mowed area in front leading down to a winter feeding station and waterhole. Each unit has a deck with dining-type furniture, leading through sliding doors into a bedroom, bathroom with toilet, shower and basin and fully equipped kitchen area – immaculately clean.. Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and many varieties of buck, together with a good selection of birds can be found on the working farm – breeding buffalo and sable antelope

Requirement
The Owners wanted to move away from Eskom as power interruptions interfere with their operations and equipment failure is regular as load shedding And phases from supply that fall away has led to many electric motors burning.

Solution:
Alpha Energy Conducted an Energy Audit by Measuring consumption of all Phases as feasibility study.
Client was presented with Off grid and Multi Hybrid solution that is scalable to off grid .

Supercap Storage Bank 42. 6 Kwh

Result:
The System is fully integrated with a generator and utilizes 2 ac outputs on the Victron 3 phase system so that when the storage bank reaches 50% the second output switches loads off. Storage bank deals with load shedding and it can be scaled to a larger bank in the future if required.
